Betwixt the Nilgiri and the Himalaya mountains, is situated the Mount Abu sanctuary. Spread over 288 kilometres, it is covered with evergreen forests. It has a rich variety of flora and fauna. Grey Jungle Fowl is the major attraction of this sanctuary. Other inhabitants include Sloth Bear, Sambar, Langoor, Porcupine, Chinkara and Wild Boar. Above 250 bird species found here make it a pilgrimage for bird lovers.

Apart from rich wildlife, the sanctuary has rich flora with approximately 112 varieties of plants. It is dominated by plants like the Kacchar, Khajur, Mango, Champa, Kaionda, Roses and Jasmine. Add to it, some of the finest varieties of orchids and herbal plants are available here.

The best part about visiting Mount Abu Sanctuary lies in the fact that the town is a mix of religion and tourism.
