Fateh Sagar Lake

Fateh Sagar Lake is a mesmerizing expanse of water surrounded by hills and woodland which makes it picturesque. It is an artificial lake located in the north direction of Lake Pichola .It was constructed by Maharana jai Singh. Later its dam was renovated by Fateh Singh. The lake is one of the major sources of drinking water for the people of Udaipur. The lake is a home to three islands. One of them(largest one) has been finely developed into a public park called Nehru Park which is an ideal picnic spot for tourists. The second one is famous for its solar observatory and the third and the smallest one has a beautiful jet fountain. The hills and the thick belt of green vegetation bordering the lake attracts tourists. A boat ride amidst such pleasant surrounding can be a great idea.
