Phool Mahal

Phool Mahal, the Flower Palace, was the most massive and imposing of all the Mehrangarh's period rooms. It was used as a private audience hall. Situated adjacent to the Moti Mahal, it was constructed by Maharaja Abhay Singh. It was further decorated in later years. The paintings on the walls of the palace reveal a distinguished European charm. The royal portraits and the popular raga mala (a pattern of notes of melody and rhythm) of Indian classical music that further enhance its walls, came much later.
