Makar Sankranti is celebrated on 14th January in India. It announces the movement of the Sun into the Northern Hemisphere. Kite flying is the tradition of this festival. This day is a day of kite flying in Jaipur and other parts of India. On this day the sky in Jaipur looks very colorful with beautiful kites flying high. The sizes of the kites varies from small to medium and large. People are so passionate about this event that they even make their own kites in advance. Children are very excited about this festival. They even write beautiful messages on their kites. People compete to take their kites to great heights and in this attempt they can even cut each other's kite as there are no rules here. Tourists can also participate in this joyful event which is full of fun.
