Pushkar Lake

Pushkar lake is an angelic lake occupying the edge of the desert. Hills surround it from three sides adding flavor to its beauty. Stunning Snake mountain, also know as Nag Parvat seperates this lake from Ajmer. The mountain houses the Brahma(the creator) temple whose origin has a story attached to it. It is believed that when Lord Brahma was in search of a serene place for performing yagna, the flower from his hand fell down on this hill on its own. Later a temple was constructed here devoted to lord Brahma. Visit the lake and you will come back mesmerized by its beauty. Another attraction here is Man Mahal Palace located along its banks. Now this palace is under the surveillance of Rajasthan Tourism Department .
