Nakki Lake

Nakki Lake in Mount Abu attracts a lot of tourists here. This lake was created artificially at a height of 1200 meters above sea level. It is extremely beautiful and tranquil. It seems as if it had been placed nicely amidst hills. Boating facilities are available here. So, how about enjoying the cool waters in a desert. It is believed that the lake derived its name from a mythological story attached to its creation. According to which it was dig by Devtas(Gods) by their nakh(nails). Some of the tribes there also worship this lake. It is a great delight for photographers. At dusk the glowing sun rays makes the water shine like gold. Recently the lake was given financial support from the government for its maintenance. If you wish you can enjoy horse riding at the banks of this lake.
