It is one of the most marvelous forts of Jaipur. It is perched on a hill named Cheel Ka Teela (Hills of Eagles). Also known as the 'fort of victory', it was built between the 15th and the 18th century keeping in mind the security of Jaipur and Amber during that period. It gives a beautiful view of the forest. The fort encompasses several palaces, storehouse, cannon(heavy weapon),many temples and a tower. Some of the cannons showcased in its museum were used in Mughal campaigns. The Jai Ban (Jaivan)displayed here is the largest cannon in the world and is the center of attraction here. The Fort also has 3 underground tanks, the largest one of which can store 60, 00,000 gallons of water. Coins, puppets, photographs of the erstwhile Maharajas, buildings, processions and other objects of historic importance are displayed in its museum. Other attractions you can see here are swords, shields, and guns.
